Why a little SERVICE FOCUSED bike shop?The short.... to be able to spend more time with family, friends and to ride my bike. As my wife and I began having kids it became very apparent that work (hours/travel time etc...) was impacting my work life balance. I wanted to take control over and have more freedom in how work impacted my time, the only way to do that would be to start my own business. I know you are now thinking, "as an entrepreneur and sole proprietor you end up working longer hours.... right?" True, but I have some degree of control in how those hours are spent. The shop has regular hours around being a father as well as being available to the majority of my clientele (think evenings and weekend), but I have the ability to close up and attend events, go on rides with clients, pursue my own cycling goals and more importantly, be available as a father and a husband. The hope being that my clientele recognize and understand these attributing factors to my chosen life style and can accept that sometimes I need to be: "Closed for my convenience!" |
SO WHAT MAKES INCEPTION TICK?
Simply... To keep bikes riding.
The Focus for the shop is Service (#servicefirst). Any bike, any age, any brand.... service is the focus. Oh.. and you can bring in your own parts too for installation.
This is not to say there are not any bikes or products instore to buy. We keep the main repair service items in stock and a selection of daily ride needs... plus a few AWESOME items. Beyond that we prefer to discuss your needs and order you the right equipment or accessories. Get what is correct, not simply what is on hand.
Bikes are similar, you will find a small selection of bikes from a few brands for you to "Showcase" in the store. A few are even available to demo ride. Then.... we discuss and order in exactly what you need.
